Optimist Club of Vienna Sponsors Family Fun Day This Weekend

Saturday is the Ninth Annual Family Fun Day in Vienna.

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna sponsors this fundraiser for the local Growing Hope Childhood Cancer Campaign.

This event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., on the Vienna Town Green. As with prior years, the event features food (pastries, bagels, fruit and sandwiches), coffee and other beverages for all attending.

There are lots of family-fun activities for all ages, including:

• Moon Bounce
• Dunk Tank
• Fun Run
• Local Artists
• Face Painting• Live Music by Donaldson’s Run
• Refreshments
• Raffle drawing, live auctions

Every dollar donated stays in the local community. Family Fun Day benefits Growing Hope, a non-profit organization located in Northern Virginia. In all, 75 percent of the Family Fun Day‘s proceeds go directly to Growing Hope to support special programs providing educational, social and financial support for children with cancer and their families. The childhood cancer research program at Johns Hopkins University & Medical Center receives the remaining 25 percent. Since beginning in 2006, Family Fun Day has raised approximately $300,000.
