“Transforming the Cancer Journey” Retreat at Unity of Fairfax
Free Retreat Offers Spiritual Tools to Cancer Patients and Caregivers on May 18

Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers are invited to attend a free one-day workshop, “Transforming the Cancer Journey with Spirituality,” on Saturday, May 18 at Unity of Fairfax, 2854 Hunter Mill Road in Oakton. Participants will build a spiritual toolbox for healing in this retreat, which is presented as a cooperative effort between Unity of Fairfax, Unity World Headquarters, and the Tigerlily Foundation.
The retreat is designed to help those facing cancer to know that they are not alone. The healing journey can become easier with spiritual tools or a personal spiritual practice. Tigerlily Foundation and Unity have prepared a peaceful safe haven for a one-day retreat which will help attendees enjoy the beauty of nature, quiet rejuvenation, and learn about spiritual support tools available to them.
For cancer survivors and their caregivers, this retreat experience is offered at no cost thanks to our generous sponsors, Kendra Scott Mosaic District and the Gannett Foundation. Speakers will include Maimah Karmo, Founder of the Tigerlily Foundation, Cheri Jamison, Program Manager, Outreach and Engagement at Unity World Headquarters, and Janice Coyle from Unity of Fairfax.
