Two Area High Schoolers Named Finalists in Nature Photo Contest

The winner will be announced in November at the Nature Visions Photo Expo in Manassas.

The Nature Visions Photo Expo (NVPE) has named eight local finalists in its ongoing Student Photography Contest, including two high school students from the Vienna area.

Alicia Kay, a student at Oakton High School, earned a spot among the finalists for her photo titled Monet, while Jess Taylor, a graduate of Winston Churchill High School, was nominated for Stranded.

The finalists will each receive a $50 gift card from District Camera in Burke, Va., and will now compete for the grand prize: a $100 gift card at district camera and an announcement at the NVPE in Manassas on Nov. 14-15, and a chance to display their work on the NVPE website.
