The final week of July will likely begin with some wet weather, as the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for parts of Northern Virginia on Monday.
Isolated thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are in the afternoon forecast throughout the area, and some parts of the region may experience flash flooding due to the storms, the NWS reports.
Rain will remain in the forecast on Tuesday afternoon and more showers could also pop up on Thursday.

- Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
- Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southeast wind around 6 mph.
- Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
- Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 75.
- Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 92. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Thursday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
- Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
- Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71.
