Adoptable Alexandria Pet: March The Pup Needs A Forever Home

Meet March, a retriever mix and rescue pup offered for adoption by Operation Paws For Homes.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — If you're thinking about adopting a furry friend, consider a local humane society like Operation Paws for Homes (OPH). The nonprofit volunteer group rescues dogs from overcrowded "high-kill" shelters in the southern U.S., primarily in Virginia and North and South Carolina.

OPH then rehabilitates the dogs and places them in loving homes. The group also partners with local humane shelters.

One of OPH's puppies is March, who got his name because he can "march" his way into your heart. He's a 4-month-old retriever mix and weighs 27 pounds. Needless to say, he's going to be a big boy when he gets older.
