Alexandria Harmonizers To Celebrate 70 Years With Special Concert

The "Platinum Moments" show on Saturday will feature songs chosen by fans of the Alexandria Harmonizers, a local men's chorus.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Begun in 1948, the Alexandria Harmonizers have become one of the world's pre-eminent men's choruses by electrifying audiences with tight harmonies and high-energy choreography. To celebrate their 70th anniversary, the Alexandria Harmonizers will perform a special show on Saturday called “Platinum Moments.” It will include performances of some of their most beloved songs from the past 70 years, as chosen by fans of the group.

The show will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Schlesinger Auditorium, on the Alexandria campus of Northern Virginia Community College, at 3001 N. Beauregard St. in the West End.
