Alexandria Lane Closure Due To Water Main Break
A lane of an Alexandria road has been shut down due to a water main break.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — A water main break in Alexandria has caused a portion of a road to close, according to the city's official Twitter page.
One lane of Duke Street, eastbound, between Quaker Lane and Sweeley Street has closed due to the break.
Traffic in the direction of Old Town/I-495 is reduced to one lane, and officials are asking motorists to avoid the area and to see alternative routes.

Westbound lanes of Duke Street are open.
One lane of Eastbound Duke St. btw S. Quaker Lane and Sweeley St. is closed due to water main break. Traffic in the direction of Old Town/I-495 is reduced to one thru lane in that block. Avoid the area; seek alt routes. Westbound lanes of Duke St. are open.
