Alexandria Man, 52, Dies After Being Hit by Car
Prince George's County Police are investigating July 17 collision that claimed the life of Timothy Devine of Alexandria, who died Thursday.

Timothy Devine, 52, of Alexandria died Thursday from injuries he suffered July 17, when he was hit by a car in Suitland, Md., according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the fatal pedestrian collision that claimed Devine’s life.
The tragic incident took place July 17, at about 4:30 pm, when patrol officers were called to the intersection of Suitland Road and Arnold Road for a collision involving a pedestrian, police said. When they arrived, the officers found Devine in the roadway suffering from critical injuries, according to police. He died of those injuries Thursday, July 23, according to police.
The preliminary investigation, police say, reveals a car heading westbound on Suitland Road struck the victim who was crossing the street. Police report he was not in a crosswalk at the time. The driver remained on the scene.
