Alexandria Man Sentenced For Receiving Child Sex Abuse Images
A former Air Force member was sentenced in relation to keeping child sex abuse images and not properly updating sex offender registration.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — On Friday, an Alexandria man was sentenced to seven years in prison for receiving images of child sexual abuse.
According to federal prosecutors, Bryson McNeal Miller, 40, of Alexandria, obtained "a substantial amount of child pornography" over several years through the dark web. He kept thousands of videos and images of child sexual abuse on different electronic devices.
In addition, he failed to keep an accurate record of employment with the Virginia sex offender registry. Miller had been registered as a sex offender due to a 2006 conviction for possession of child pornography while in the U.S. Air Force. Prosecutors say Miller did not notify authorities that he was employed at a northern Virginia martial arts studio where some students were children. Miller was required to register as a sex offender due to a 2006 conviction for possession of child pornography while Miller was serving in the U.S. Air Force.
