Alexandria Nominated For Best City By Southern Living
Alexandria could be named one of the best cities in the South. Here's how to vote.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — While Alexandria residents get to experience the city's charm every day, the brick sidewalks and vibrant waterfront of Old Town could soon gloss the pages of a magazine for national readers. Alexandria has been nominated for Best City by Southern Living. In addition, The Hour, a vintage cocktail and barware boutique, is nominated for the best boutique in the South.
The categories are part of the South's Best 2020 awards. Alexandria is up for Best City against destinations like Miami, New Orleans and Charleston, South Carolina, along with Virginia's capital, Richmond. Last year Southern Living readers named Alexandria as one of the prettiest cities in the South.
Anyone can vote by submitting a survey by Sept. 16. An entry gets you a chance to win the grand prize of $2,500 or one of three prizes of $500. You can take the survey an unlimited amount of times, but you can only enter for the giveaway once for every email address.
