Alexandria Nominated For Condé Nast Traveler's Best Cities Award

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria is once again seeking the title of one of the best small cities in Condé Nast Traveler's annual Readers' Choice Awards.

The magazine has nominated Alexandria in the survey for the annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. The city has been ranked among the top small cities in America for the past several years among the likes of harleston, South Carolina, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Laguna Beach, California and Aspen, Colorado. Best city rankings are split into two categories small cities (with populations under 250,000) and large cities.

In addition, Alexandria hotels nominated in the hotels category include The Alexandrian, Autograph Collection, Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, Hilton Alexandria Old Town, Morrison House and Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa.

Visit Alexandria is encouraging voting in the Readers' Choice Awards to aid in Alexandria's recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.

"As travel intent continues to rise, travelers are eyeing small towns and cities where outdoor experiences abound like Alexandria, VA," Visit Alexandria stated. "Securing a high ranking will help support Alexandria’s economic recovery following a devastating year for restaurants, shops, attractions, historic sites and hotels."

Anyone can vote at cntraveler.com/vote. To vote, select the cities category, create a free account, search for Alexandria and answer questions about the city. Voting also enters you to win a getaway trip.

Voting is open through May 31. Winners will be announced in October and appear in a November magazine issue.
