Alexandria Restaurant Week To-Go Returns In January

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Restaurant Week will return in a takeout format for 2021 winter dates from Jan. 22 to Feb. 7.

The winter restaurant week features specials from participating restaurants through Super Bowl Sunday. Like the previous summer restaurant week, there will be $49 for two specials. New this winter, more than half of participating restaurants will have a $25 takeout dinner for one due to interest from single diners.

A variety of neighborhoods and cuisines are featured in the restaurant week. Restaurants come from Old Town, Del Ray, Carlyle and Eisenhower and the West End. New Alexandria Restaurant Week participants include new dog bar Barkhaus, Carlyle neighborhood eatery Pasara Thai and The Alexandrian hotel’s new restaurant King & Rye.

Alexandria Restaurant Week is held twice a year by Visit Alexandria in the summer and winter to showcase the city's variety of locally-owned eateries. The to-go model was introduced in summer 2020 to accommodate diners' desire to enjoy meals at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The summer Restaurant Week To-Go sought to support Alexandria's small business economy and preserve Alexandria's dining experience as businesses weather impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
