Alexandria Warehouse Sale Moves To New Location In 2021

ALEXANDRIA, VA — The region's longest-running boutique warehouse sale will return in 2021, albeit with some changes.

The Alexandria Warehouse Sale will be held on Feb. 6 and 7. But instead of taking place in the Westin Alexandria like years prior, it will be spread out in stores, pop-up tents and open retail space along King Streets and select side streets in Old Town Alexandria.

Nearly 40 independent boutiques from Alexandria and the region are participating in this year's sale. Shoppers typically come in numbers to score 80 percent off retail prices for clothing, shoes, jewelry, home furnishings, and more. Hours will vary by store.

The event is held by the Old Town Boutique District and the Old Town Business Association. Founded in 2004 by Elizabeth Todd, co-founder of the Old Town Boutique District and owner of The Shoe Hive, the first warehouse sale took place at the Campagna Center. Since then it has grown in popularity and has been held in locations like the Westin Alexandria and Masonic Temple.

Similar to previous years, there will be contests with giveaways leading up to the sale. The Old Town Boutique District's Instagram @otboutiques will have two giveaway posts before the sale. Participants can share what they are excited to shop for to get a chance to win an Old Town tote and $25 gift card to the participating Warehouse Sale business of their choice. Four winners will be selected leading up to the warehouse sale weekend.

During the weekend of the sale (Feb. 6-7), shoppers can tag @otboutiques in stories showing off their favorite finds. Six winners will be randomly selected during the weekend to win a gift card to one of six local restaurants to mark Alexandria Restaurant Week. The restaurant week runs through Feb. 7.
