Capt. William C. Raposa, 90

On March 7, 2015 of Alexandria, VA., we lost an American hero and treasure. William Clayton Raposa was a survivor of World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was highly decorated for extraordinary heroism earning a Navy Cross, a Gold Star and a Distinguished Flying Cross.
He was predeceased by his wife Betsy A. Raposa and his daughter Cathy Allen. He is survived by his daughter Caren Williams (Robert); three grandsons, Jason Allen (Janet), Jeremy Williams (Aimee) and Ryan Williams; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Griffin and Addison.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 310 S. Royal St., Alexandria, VA. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
