Catalog for Fall Recreation Classes, After-School Programs Now Available

Registration for City residents opens Aug. 17 for residents, and for nonresidents on Aug. 19.

Considering taking a class or signing up your child for an afterschool activity this fall?

The City of Alexandria's Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities’ 2016 Fall Program Guide is now available online.

The Program Guide highlights City classes, programs, activities, and special events occurring September through December, as well as park and facility information. Printed copies are available throughout Alexandria at recreation centers, libraries and City Hall and current subscriptions will be received in the mail by Friday.

Registration for fall classes and activities begins at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17 for City residents and Friday, Aug. 19 for nonresidents.

Registration can be completed online, as well as in-person or by phone at the Registration and Reservation Office, located at the Lee Center at 1108 Jefferson St. Visit or call 703-746-5414 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Monday through Friday.

Registration for afterschool programs for the 2016-17 school year are also open. Choices include programs like the Power-Up Program for ages 11-14, Youth Achieving Greatness for ages 5-12, Afterschool Nature Buddies for ages 5-10, and more.
