Child, Car Recovered After Suspect Steals Running Car at Bradlee Shopping Center: Police

Alexandria Police say a car and child were recovered Monday after a suspect stole the car, left running at Bradlee Shopping Center.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The ‪Alexandria Police Department is investigating a stolen vehicle and an abduction in the 3800 block of King Street, police announced Monday afternoon. A car was left running with a child inside, and was then stolen, according to police.

The child was recovered unharmed inside the vehicle in the same parking lot, police said. Expect police activity in the area.

Police sent out an alert about the carjacking incident at about 3:45 p.m. Monday. Police did not say whether a suspect was apprehended or give a description of the suspect.
