ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria's DASH Bus system increased service to about 80 percent of pre-pandemic levels on Tuesday. Most routes will be on their regular schedules, but the King Street Trolley remains suspended until further notice.

DASH continues to operate fare-free with rear-door boarding to reduce crowding at fare boxes, minimize touch points and keep distance between drivers and passengers. Riders with disabilities or strollers can board through the front doors if a ramp is needed. Face coverings have been required on all DASH buses since May 18.

Routes returning to regular service include AT1 Plus, AT2, AT3/4, AT5, AT7, AT8, AT9 and AT10. Routes with modified weekday schedules due to low ridership include AT2X, AT3, AT4 and AT6. Alternatives to the King Street Trolley in Old Town include AT2, AT7 and AT8.
