ALEXANDRIA, VA — The Federal Bureau of Investigation recently infiltrated a Virginia "Bible study" group where members talked about surveilling the U.S. Capitol, seceding from the United States, and building and testing Molotov cocktails following the Jan. 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol.

Details on the group emerged in a criminal case filed against an alleged participant in the violent attack on the Capitol. The case against Virginia man Fi Duong is one of more than 500 that have been filed in the six months following the insurrection.

Duong was arrested last week and charged with four federal crimes. He has not been charged with crimes related to any post-riot conduct, including the alleged bomb planning.
