First Snow Of 2020: A Day In Photos From Alexandria
Alexandria readers submitted photos of snow from their windows...and traffic as commuters encountered an early rush hour.

The first snow of 2020 didn't arrive without chaos as early dismissals spurred traffic jams around the area. But once you were off the roads and warming up in your home, you could simply enjoy the view of the snow falling.
Preliminary snowfall measurements from the National Weather Service indicate one area of Alexandria got around a half inch, which was on the lower end of towns in Northern Virginia. Nevertheless, the snow presented picture-perfect photo opps around Alexandria. That's why we asked Patch readers to send photos of how the snow looks outside their windows.
