Glory Days Grill Opens In Alexandria

The sports bar chain has opened a location at the Alexandria Commons shopping center.

ALEXANDRIA, VA—Sports bar chain Glory Days Grill has opened its Alexandria location at Alexandria Commons, 3141 Duke Street.

Former Alexandria Mayor Bill Euille was the restaurant's honorary first guest during the soft opening celebration last week.

"It is very exciting to welcome Glory Days Grill as a new sports themed and family restaurant to our wonderful city," said Euille. "As a successful small business, Glory Days Grill will make a difference to our city in the hiring of local workforce and contributing to the philanthropy of so many nonprofit organizations."

The restaurant offers a large menu from burgers, wings and pizza to soups, salads and desserts complemented by large screen televisions, a full bar, to-go orders, catering and banquet/party facilities. Daily specials include $5.99 Monday Burgers, $5.99 Taco Tuesdays, $10.99 Rib Wednesdays, $5.99 Nacho Thursdays, $5.99 12-inch Pizzas on Thursdays and $9.99 Fish Fry on Fridays and every Thursday. Patrons after 9 p.m. have a ‘Snack Attack Menu’ with $4, $5 and $6 snack-sized appetizers.

The location will also host fundraising programs for schools and teams. Managers are now accepting applications to sponsor local sports teams this fall.

The Alexandria restaurant will hire over 100 employees. Interested applicants can apply online here.

This is the chain's 15th location in Virginia. Its first location ever was opened in Burke. Other locations opening this year in Sarasota, Fla., Linthicum Heights, Md., Brooksville, Fla. and Fort Myers, Fla. By early 2019, Glory Days Grill anticipates it will have 34 restaurants open and more planned.

Glory Days Grill is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays.
