3-Vehicle Hit-And-Run Crash Injures 2 In Old Town: Police

Two people were hospitalized and a third person left the scene, according to Alexandria Police.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Alexandria Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash with three vehicles during the morning rush hour Tuesday in Old Town.

The crash involved a suspect vehicle and two other vehicles at South Patrick and Franklin Streets around 6:25 a.m. One driver was extricated from a vehicle by the Alexandria Fire Department. Two drivers have non-life-threatening injuries. Two drivers were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle driver fled on foot before police arrived.

Franklin Street was closed at the intersection for the crash investigation. The intersection reopened after 9 a.m.
