Piano Man — Morrison House (116 S. Alfred St.) is hosting its Thursday sing-along in its piano bar featuring Bob Smith and friends. Doors open at 6 p.m.

More Herbs, Less Salt Day — Yes, this really is a day. I’m not kidding. It’s celebrated today during the peak of garden herb harvest.

Thursday Jazz — It’s Thursday, which means the Not-So-Modern Jazz Band will be performing at St. Elmo’s Coffee Pub in Del Ray(2300 Mount Vernon Ave.). The band, which has performed continuously since 1983, gets the party swinging at 7:30 p.m.
