Lee-Fendall House's Speakeasy Fundraiser Returns for 4th Year
Fundraising event celebrates the house's Prohibition-era history
On Saturday, September 14th, 2019, the Lee-Fendall House Museum & Garden will host Sips & Secrets: A Speakeasy Night from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. This fundraising event celebrates the house's Prohibition-era history, when we were home to Alexandria's liquor wholesalers, and all proceeds will support our mission to provide a place for the Alexandria community to explore our shared history and discover how it is still relevant today.
Attendees will be able to enjoy 1920s-style drinks, dance the night away to some great jazz and ragtime, enter a dance and costume contests, and win great prizes highlighting local Alexandria businesses in a silent auction.
General admission tickets are $60 and include two drink tickets for cocktails, wine, or beer, heavy hors d'oeuvres and dessert, and all the speakeasy fun. A discount admission price for young professionals ages 21-30 is also available.
