Looking for Host Families for Short-term Exchange Students

Experience Another Culture in your own Home!

Hello!

I work for CETUSA (Council for Educational Travel, U.S.A.), an organization which runs exchange programs. These programs are for both inbound J-1 visa students (i.e. non-American kids coming into the U.S.) and also outbound students (i.e. American kids going abroad). I also work for YFU (Youth for Understanding), which is another international exchange organization. CETUSA offers long-term programs that are either one semester or one whole academic year long. Unlike CETUSA, YFU offers both long-term and short-term exchange programs.

This summer, we have a group of 30+ short-term students coming into DC through the YFU program. The students are a mix of middle and high school age. These students will be arriving on July 20th. Most of the students will return to their countries on August 8th. The majority of the students will be from China. This year, YFU is expecting 28 from China, 3 to 4 from Germany, and a few from Vietnam . Most of the students will be here for 3 weeks, a few for 2/12 weeks

YFU already has a program of activities and English language learning already set in place for these students. You will not have to "babysit" them.
