Made in ALX Art Show & Sale Planned At Alexandria Waterfront

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Made in ALX will host its first-ever art show and sale on the Alexandria waterfront on June 26.

Made in ALX is a platform launched in November 2020 to spotlight Alexandria artists and creators and connect them to shoppers. Nearly three dozen Alexandria creatives participate, giving them opportunities to sell online, at local farmers markets, at pop-ups, or special events.

The pop-up waterfront show will showcase watercolor and oil painters, sculptors and other types of artists. It will be held from noon to 6 p.m. on June 26 on the waterfront side of 201 N. Union Street, the ALX Community space.

Participating artists are Michelle Wee (Blue Lark Designs), Kyra Ketch, Diana Papazian (Papazian Designs), Laurel Prucha Moran (Blue Room Studio), Teal Griffey (Teal), Brie Hayden, Alexandra Schmeling, Kellie Sansone and Julianne Woehrle. The event is sponsored by Izalia Laser Spa and Lux Rox.

Several Made in ALX creators will also be at the Four Mile Run Farmers Market on Sunday, June 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4109 Mount Vernon Avenue.
