Mass Vaccination Site Coming To Alexandria By End Of March

The site will be able to vaccinate thousands of residents in Fairfax County and Alexandria daily.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A large-scale vaccination site in Alexandria is slated to open by the end of March, expanding capacity to vaccinate Alexandria and Fairfax County residents.

The announcement came Tuesday from Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jeff McKay and Inova Health System President and CEO Stephen Jones. The facility will be Victory Center at 5001 Eisenhower Avenue in West End Alexandria, a location close to the Van Dorn Street Metro.

The Inova Stonebridge Vaccination Center will be open to Fairfax County and Alexandria residents. As reported by WTOP, Jones said the site could initially provide 6,000 vaccinations each day and could increase this capacity to 12,000. The Alexandria Health Department says the Inova facility will be another option for vaccinating more eligible Alexandria residents when vaccine supply significantly increases. McKay noted that while the site is in Alexandria, it could be an option for nearby Fairfax County residents.
