Memorial Service Scheduled for Lois L. Walker

Memorial services for former Alexandria City Councilwoman Lois L. Walker will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, located at 105 S. Union Street. 

Walker, who served on council from 1994 to 2000, passed away Sunday while traveling in Turkey.

Alexandria city officials remembered Walker as a transportation visionary and a gracious and kind woman who had great affection for the city.
