Mount Vernon Trail Resurfacing Work Begins Thursday

Work is expected to take three to four days on trail segments in North Old Town.

Resurfacing work on the Mount Vernon Trail is scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 24 on a segment of the Mount Vernon Trail between in North Old Town.

Resurfacing will be performed between Pendleton Street and Bashford Lane, as well as a segment of the alternate trail in front of the NRG power plant site connecting Bashford with E. Abingdon Drive.

Trail detours and signage are posted and the work is expected to last between three and four days, depending on weather conditions.
