Old Town Alexandria Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

As of Monday, Winter Storm Jonas has brought over two feet of snow to a majority of towns across Virginia costing the Metro DC Area a least $250 million dollars.

As everyone continues to dig themselves out, the U.S. Postal Service has started collecting, delivering and sorting mail throughout the Northern Virginia area. Although, all Alexandria City public schools and offices remain closed until further notice.

As local jurisdictions started to plow residential streets, we asked Patch readers how their residental streets are looking. Here’s what you said:

  • “Still untouched on Green Street.”
  • “Colonial Ave hasn’t been plowed since Friday”
  • “Slaters Lane towards the river from Washington Street is only one lane - and the access road from Slaters to the GW parkway north entrance was not plowed at all”
