How Learning Is Going In Virginia School Districts: Patch Survey

Some school districts went with remote learning to start the year. Let us know how you think school is going so far.

VIRGINIA — With Labor Day come and gone, all of Virginia's school districts are back in session. It wasn't a typical start to the academic year with students in classrooms with their peers.

Some school districts and private schools decided to go with distance learning due to concerns with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. According to Virginia Department of Education data, 68 public school divisions are fully remote, 29 are partially or fully hybrid with in-person learning less than four days, 25 have in-person learning four or more days for at least some students, and 10 are fully in person. All of Northern Virginia's public school divisions opted to start remotely.

Now that schools have at least a week in the books, we want to know how you assess learning so far in the new academic year. Take our survey below to let us know your thoughts. If you'd like to speak further to a Patch reporter in your town, you may provide your contact information.
