Pedestrian Walkway Floods At King Street Metro In Alexandria
Riders are asked to use alternate routes to get between the station and bus stops on Diagonal Road.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — A pedestrian walkway at the King Street Metro Station is flooded as a result of Friday's storm in Alexandria.
A photo posted to Twitter shows flooding on the pedestrian walkway from Diagonal Road to the Metro platform. Bus stops are operating on surrounding streets while construction is underway for the King Street-Old Town Metro Access Improvements project.
Alexandria's DASH Bus reported that flooding closed the walkway. Metrorail riders heading to buses should use the Metro exit at Commonwealth Drive or King Street (next to VRE) and take sidewalks to Diagonal Road.
