Water Taxi Service Slated To Resume In Alexandria, DC
Water taxi service will start up as cherry blossom season gets underway.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Water taxi service serving DC destinations, Alexandria and National Harbor, Maryland will return on March 19, Hornblower Cruises and Events announced.
The water taxi routes offer connections from The Wharf to Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, and National Harbor. Starting on March 27, Hornblower will also offer dining experience offerings with brunch, lunch and dinner cruises. Sightseeing and water taxi services depart from multiple locations, while dining cruises depart from Pier 4, 580 Water Street SW at DC's Wharf.
The water taxi will return for the season one day before the National Cherry Blossom Festival gets underway, offering views of the cherry blossoms from the Potomac River. The National Park Service expects peak bloom from April 2 to 5 but encourages virtual viewing of the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin to avoid crowding.
