Winter Village At Cameron Run Adjusts To Governor's Order
To meet the governor's new guidelines, the number of admission tickets has been reduced.
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Ice & Lights, the Winter Village at Alexandria's Cameron Run Regional Park, is on track to open for a second year but has made revisions to meet Gov. Ralph Northam's new coronavirus restrictions.
The Winter Village will be open on weekends, holidays, and prime visitation nights from Nov. 20 to Jan. 3, and ice skating only will be offered on select days from Jan. 9 to Feb. 28. The attraction features a variety of displays, including a 20-foot walk-thru tree, 3D sleigh, interactive orb field, giant wreath, color changing trees, elf scavenger hunt and more. Guests may purchase tickets with or without admission to the ice skating rink. Concessions will be available for purchase.
To meet the governor's guidelines, the number of available tickets has been reduced. The amended executive order says entertainment and amusement businesses must limit attendees to the lesser of 30 percent of occupancy load or 250 people.
