80 Family Yard Sale Returns To Reston After Pausing For COVID-19
After taking a year off due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 80 Family Yard Sale is returning Saturday to Reston.
RESTON, VA — After a year-off due to COVID-19 restrictions, the 80 Family Yard Sale is returning to Reston this Saturday and that's good news for many people in Reston, according to Ashleigh Soloff, RA's community events supervisor.
Lots of people have been asking Soloff, who has been with Reston Association for 26 years, when the yard sale was going to return.
"I wasn't actually sure it was it going to happen, because it's usually in April," she said. "Then we pushed it to May. Then we pushed it to early June, and now here we are."

The yard sale will take place from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m., on Saturday, in the RA parking lot, which is located at 12001 Sunrise Valley Drive. In case of rain, the even will be moved to Sunday.
"We're back, post COVID," Soloff said. "So, now that everything's back open, people are excited about being back and doing events, mostly outside events. Of course, this fits that, where people are able to be outside and come to an event."

People who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 will not be required to wear a mask while attending the yard sale.
The Kona Ice truck will be selling shaved ice at the yard sale on Saturday. In addition, a collection truck from Purple Heart will be there to accept donations of any unsold items at the end of the sale.
Booth spaces were still available as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Soloff, but they are going fast. The fee to reserve a booth is $45 for RA members and $55 for non-members. Spaces can be reserved by using webtract or by emailing Soloff at Ashleigh@reston.org. For more information, call 703-435-6577
