RESTON, VA — Reston Community Center is calling on performing arts of all ages and culture to submit an application to be part of the 21st Annual Reston Multicultural festival, which returns to Lake Anne Plaza on Saturday, Sept. 25.

Last year's festival had to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and organizers are hoping the community will once again be able to celebrate the many cultures that make up Reston.

Those who are interested in participating in the festival may fill out an Entertainment Application Form on the RCC’s website. The deadline is June 18. Interested groups must include video or audio examples of their work when they submit their application.

The festival's entertainment committee will review all submissions and selections will be based on the samples of representative work included with the application. The committee will evaluate each for the submissions, weighing the artistic merit, production values, general merit, and forms that represent specific cultures. Artists will be notified by July 16 whether they have been selected.

Applications for arts and craft vendors, community organizations, and food vendors are also due by June 18. Applications are available online
