Autumnwood Main Pool In Reston Closed Due To Contamination

RESTON, VA — Water contamination closed the Autumnwood main pool for the remainder of Tuesday, according to a 3:47 p.m. post on the Reston Association's official Twitter account.

Mike McNamara, RA's director of maintenance and natural resources, said that someone had relieved themselves in the pool and the water will need to be run through the filters for at least eight hours before the pool can be reopened.

Although the main pool will be closed, both the wading pool and pool deck will remain open.

RA recommended that residents use the nearby Lake Newport Pool and North Shore Pool instead. They will remain open until 7 p.m.
