RESTON, VA — Officers from the Reston District Station of the Fairfax County Police arrested a Centreville man Thursday in connection with an attempted robbery in Reston, according to the weekly crime report.

The victim returned to his car, which was parked near the intersection of Clubhouse Road and North Shore Drive around 4:53 a.m., when he found a man rummaging around inside it, police say. The man attempted to assert the victim and then left.

Before officers responded to the scene, the same man approached a couple, demanded cash, and attempted to assault them, according to police.

The officers apprehended Korben Sparks, 23, of Centreville nearby and charged him with attempted robbery and vehicle trespass. Police reported that no one was injured.
