'Chance Of Snow' In Reston This Weekend: Forecast

RESTON, VA -- Don't break out the snow boots just yet, but the National Weather Service says there's a "chance of snow" in Reston this weekend.

After weeks of above-normal temperatures, it appears that winter is finally about ready to start settling in to our area. It's not going to get here right away, though: Tuesday's high is going to approach 60 degrees.

But on Wednesday, temperatures will take a noticeable dip, topping out in the low 40s during the day and dropping as low as the 20s by the evening. Thursday and Friday will be sunny and cold, with highs just below 40 and evening lows dropping close to the mid 20s.

There's a "chance of snow" both Saturday and Sunday, although it's a bit early to say if we'll get any accumulation or just see a few flakes. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent on Saturday and 30 percent on Sunday. So stay tuned.
