Cosham, Moyer and Mendonça Appointed to Reston Community Center Board
Incumbent and two newcomers will serve RCC through 2016.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of three Reston residents to serve three-year terms on the nine-member Reston Community Center Board of Governors:
Beverly Cosham, current board chair, was re-elected, and new Board members John Mendonça and Michelle Moyer were also appointed.
The appointments were made following the official results of the 2013 RCC Preference Poll. Vote tallies were as follows:- Beverly Cosham: 1,256
- Michelle Moyer: 1,180
- John Mendonça: 1,143
- William Keefe: 1,059
- Sridhar Ganesan: 898
- Tammi Petrine: 748
Moyer, Cosham and incumbent Bill Keefe said in candidate statements and last month's candidate forum they were in favor of putting the pool to referendum.
Mendonça, Sridhar Ganesan and Tammi Petrine said they are not in favor of building a new facility and further burdening the taxpayers of Small Tax District 5.
Cosham will return for her fifth term on the Board. She is a 46-year Reston resident who was a founding member of both Reston Community Players and Reston Chorale. She has held leadership roles with the Lorton Arts Foundation, Fairfax Arts Council Advisory Board, the Actors' Center, the Lorton Re-use Committee and the Reston Community Orchestra.
Mendonça is a 24-year Reston resident who currently serves as Chairman and Treasurer of Reston Soccer Association. He has held leadership roles with Filmfest DC, Northern Virginia Technology Council, Lake Anne Nursery and Kindergarten and Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company.
