Fairfax County Makes Decision On Wednesday School Schedule

With snow falling and roads freezing Tuesday night, local schools have made a decision on the school schedule tomorrow.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA-- Fairfax County school officials have decided to close on Wednesday over concerns about icy roads following the snowfall Tuesday evening.

Other counties in the D.C. region have decided to open late, but Fairfax County received more snow than other areas and officials decided to close.

The region got anywhere from a coating to 3 inches, however even those areas that didn't get much snow are expected to have dangerous, icy roads, which is prompting the decision to delay. Icy cold temps play into it as well.
