Fannie Mae Considering Move To Reston: Report

The mortgage loan giant, which already has a presence in the area, reportedly is looking for one million square feet.

RESTON, VA -- The Federal National Mortgage Association, more commonly known as Fannie Mae, is contemplating a huge move to Reston, according to a report.

The Washington Business Journal reports that the mortgage loan company is looking for an area covering about one million square feet to serve as its new headquarters, and they are considering Reston Station for the project.

Fannie Mae already leases some space in both Herndon and Reston, but this would obviously give them a much more significant presence in the area.
