Free Outdoor Summer Concerts Return To Reston In June

Reston Community Center is offering a full slate of free outdoor musical performances appropriate for all ages starting in June

RESTON, VA — In 2020, Reston Community Center had to scale-down the number of performances it offered over the summer due to COVID-19 restrictions. Now that those restrictions have been loosened, music will return in the form of free summer concerts across Reston beginning in June.

“The more people are vaccinated, the safer the community is,” said Leila Gordon, RCC executive director, in a release. “Measures we have all taken to stop the spread have worked, and we see the public health metrics responding accordingly. We will monitor the COVID-19 data, government guidance and vaccination rates carefully to be sure we provide environments that are consistent with public health best practices.”

In addition to offering more than 50 musical performances at Reston Town Square Park, Lake Anne Plaza, and Reston Station, RCC is hosting for the first time Family Picnic Days on three following three Saturdays, from 4-6 p .m.
