The story is unfolding... Find out what happened...

Gin Dance Company (GDC), Metropolitan DC/Northern Virginia based performing arts modern dance company will be presenting ‘The Story of Our Lives’ at 7:30 pm on October 6, 2018 at The CenterStage at Reston Community Center in Reston, VA. The audience will see the premiere of GDC Artistic Director Shu-Chen Cuff’s newest work, ‘We, The Moon, The Sun' - an Asian culturally influenced work blending Chinese Opera movements and modern dance. Also debuting is Shu-Chen's ‘200 Feet’ inspired by author Jack Canfield's teachings.
"We are One... Our energy on this earthy plane flow together continually just as the earth, the moon, and the sun all depend on each other. In creating ‘We, The Moon, The Sun’, I delve into this idea through the fusion of movements in the hopes of expanding the audience’s imagination.” stated Artistic Director Shu-Chen Cuff. “I’m also very excited to be debuting another new work named ‘200 Feet’ - inspired by the the teachings of the author of 'Chicken Soup for the Soul', Jack Canfield on how life tends to unfold before us. If we just trust, the next 200 feet will unfold, and the next 200 feet after that and so on. Our lives keep unfolding and eventually get us to our destination of whatever it is that we truly want.” Shu-Chen continued. The show will also include GDC’s critically acclaimed and audience favorite signature pieces ‘L.E.O.’ and the touching and story telling piece ‘The Other Side'. GDC Executive Director, Gary Cuff, commented, “It’s a refreshing, energizing, diverse program and we hope to leave the audience inspired and uplifted”. Ticket information can be found on the GDC website, gindance.org.
