Happy Mother’s Day From Lisa Andariese

"You have provided me with comfort and love throughout my entire life, and I don't know what I would do without you."

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Lisa Andariese's letter to her mom:

Dear Mom,

I hope you know you are my favorite person in this entire world. There are many reason why this is true and will be true forever and always. You make me sane, even though I can be impossible and may make you feel the opposite at times. You make me strong and have guided me through every place and hardship In my life. You make me feel loved and have always been there for me no matter what, no questions asked. You keep me grounded, yes you do!

One of my favorite things that you do is when you leave me a voicemail saying, “Hi, it’s your mom,” even though I clearly know who it is. Please never change that — I love that you do that! You have provided me with comfort and love throughout my entire life, and I don’t know what I would do without you.

I hope I am half as amazing of a mom to my future children as you are to me. I can not speak for Nick or Jess, but I am sure they feel the same way. The way you and Dad raised us will always make us a tight-knit family, and will always have a special bond that can never be broken. I just hope that I give back as much love as you give to me. Happy Mother’s Day.

Love always,
Lisa
