Leidos Aims To Boost COVID-19 Vaccinations With $1M Sweepstakes.
Reston-based Leidos launches $1 million Move the Needle Sweepstakes to encourage employees to get vaccinated.

RESTON, VA — As a way to encourage its employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine, Liedos, a Reston-based science and technology firm, will be handing out $1 million in prize money to 10 employee winners, according to a release.
“For more than 50 years, Leidos’ mission has been to make the world safer, healthier and more efficient. Today we are doubling down on that charter,” Roger Krone, Leidos chairman and CEO, said, in a release. “Through this campaign, we are investing in our people and providing a tangible incentive to save lives. If it encourages even one person to get the vaccine, it’s money well spent.”
The $1 million Move the Needle sweepstakes will pay 10 Leidos employees the equivalent of their annual salaries. The campaign kicked off on June 28 and will run through Oct. 29 and winners will be chosen from the company's U.S.-based, full-time employees, according to The Washington Post. Participation in the sweepstakes is voluntary.
