Light the Night, Meet The Artists and Catch The Game

Things to do in and around Reston the weekend of Oct. 4.

The National Capital Area Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) will host the Northern Virginia Light The Night Walk on Saturday at Reston Town Center.   

Event activities begin at 5 p.m., with the walk at 7 p.m.

Teams of supporters will walk at twilight carrying illuminated balloons honoring patients, survivors and loved ones lost. Champions For Cures, those walkers who raised $100 or more, will enjoy live music, food and beverages, and family activities before and after the event.

Light the Night walkers raise funds in honor of local Honored Heroes, patient or survivors of blood cancer who provide inspiration and support.

SLHS Football hits the road - South Lakes, coming off a last-second 13-12 loss to McLean last week,  travels to Madision. The Seahawks are 2-2. Madison is 0-4. Game time is 7:30 p.m. Herndon High will host McLean at 7:30 p.m.
