Penultimate RSTA meet sees records shattered

Reston Swim Team Association had a great penultimate meet. There were lots of great swims and many team records were set!

Team records set on Saturday include:

For the Glade Dolphins, Evan Pan-Wang set two records: the first with a time of 18.70 for the 8&U boys’ 50M fly and the second record with a time of 18.04 for the 8&U boys’ 50M free. Karan Murari set a record with a time of 38.41 for the 11-12 boys’ 50M fly. Yet another record was set by Nicolas Seery with a time of 32.51 for the 13-14 boys’ 50M free.

For the Lake Newport Lightning, Michael Zhou set two records: the first with a time of 43.33 for the 9-10 boys’ 50M breast and the second record with a time of 32.74 for the 8&U boys’ 50M free.

For the North Hills Hurricanes, Katie Cazenas set a record with a time of 29.76 for the 13-14 girls’ 50M free, while Evan Zhang set a record with a time of 25.75 for the 15-18 men’s 50M free.

The Ridge Heights Sharks set a new record for 11-12 boys’ 100 medley relay with a time of 1:08.14 thanks to Connor Pierce, Marco Anguizola, Evan Blase, and Aidan Coughlin. Hailey Brown set a record in 11-12 girls’ 50M free with a time of 30.67. The girls’ team of Anna Rasmussen, Kelsye Brown, Hailey Brown, Hailey Wang, and Hannah Lane set a record of 2.07:19 for the 200M relay.

For Hunters Woods, double event winners were Lillie Amirshahi, John Evans, Audrey F Flynn, Jack P Flynn, Marissa Jerome, Andrew Li, Taryn Parcell, Timothy Vu, and Timothy Xu. Triple event winners were Justin Chen, Emma Grossback, Jack Henry Ham, Amber Li, Quinn Owen, and Megan Slater.

For Autumnwood, double event winners were Chase Brown, Will Daly, Kyle Ingerick, Quinn Jackson, Adam Kerr, Edward Montgomery, Evan Montgomery, Deep Murthy, David H Nelson, Andrew Raikes, Jayson Skrzycki, and Shea Willson. Triple event winners were Cooper Hill and Megan Luczko.

Triple event winners were Allison Boone, Gabriel Huang, Daniella Ramsey, Miles Yang, and Evan J Zhang.

For Glade, double event winners were Rhea Braganza, Amelia Flavin, Clara Landeryou, Kaden Marshall, Eliza Short, and Zachary Wiemer. Triple event winners were Bowang Jiang, Karan Murari, Evan Pan-Wang, and Lauren Wagner.

Triple events winners were Max Daum, Athena Joannou, Valeria Novoa, and Nathan Vikhman.

For Lake Anne, double event winners were Luke Bowen, Ian Henry, William Jansen, Joseph Sanchez, Alina Shannon, and Katie Vintimilla. Triple events winners were Aaron Cramer and Olivia Pons.

For Lake Newport, double event winners were Ellie Angel, Ryan Giebel, Ingrid Larne, Arin Nandurkikar, Anna Redican, Emi Redican, and Sean Redican. Triple event winners were Jack Edgemond, Jeffrey George, Caroline Kohn, and Michael Zhou.
