PHOTOS: Reston Buried Under Foot-Plus Of Snow; Long Way To Go
The weather forecasts were accurate, and the proof is in the drifts.

Reston was buried under more than a foot of snow Saturday, and the flurries continued to land on roads already barely passable.
The Virginia Highway Patrol was responding to dozens of accidents and stranded cars as the storm blamed for 11 deaths nationwide continued. In all, 71 million people were under weather alerts from the massive weather system and 10 states and the District of Columbia were under states of emergency.
The National Weather Service warns we’re not done yet: Another half-foot of snow could fall before tapering off this evening, and heavy winds will continue to cause heavy drifting.
