Police Charge 3 Reston Residents In Winterthur Court Robbery

RESTON, VA — Fairfax County Police officers arrested three people in connection with a robbery that occurred Tuesday night in Reston, according to the weekly crime report.

Around 11:04 p.m., three people approached a car parked in the 2200 block of Winterthur Court and demanded money from the victim. One of the people entered the car, took the money, and all three fled the scene on foot. Police apprehended Juwan Seegars, 26; Tiffani Garner, 20; and Larell Landsdowne, 37; all of Reston, and then charged them with robbery.

FCPD officers investigated two other robberies and a carjacking that occurred over the last week in the Reston District.

The first robbery occurred at 8:44 p.m., on Saturday, when three men assaulted a victim in the 2100 block of Monaghan Drive and then stole his bike. The victim was not injured in the assault.

The second robbery happened at 12:50 a.m., on Sunday, in the 2100 block of Centreville Road, when a group of juveniles assaulted the victim and took his personal property. Although the victim reported injuries, they were not life threatening. He asked police not to investigate the case any further.

The carjacking occurred around 5:25 a.m., on June 12, in the 1800 block of Presidents Street in Reston. A man got into the driver seat of a 2004 Toyota Corolla and pointed a gun at the car's owner who was sitting in the passenger seat. The man with the gun told the victim to exit the vehicle. After the victim complied, the man drove off in the Corolla, leaving the victim uninjured.
