RCC Thanksgiving Food Drive Helps Area Families In Need

RESTON, VA — The Reston Community Center and the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce have teamed up with Cornerstones to help area families in need as part of the RCC Thanksgiving Food Drive.

The public can also help Stuff the RA Camp Van this Saturday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at North Point Village Center (1452 Reston Pkwy, Reston, VA 20194). More information is available online.

Volunteer loaders and food sorters are also needed on Nov. 24 or 25, and Nov. 26 or 27, respectively. Find out more online.

The following items are needed to help Cornerstones assist area families in need:

• Grocery Store Gift Cards
• Heavy Duty Clear Plastic Bins (approx. size of file boxes)
• Toilet Paper
• Baby Wipes
• Hygiene Items
• Condiments
• Cooking Oil
• Flour, Sugar, etc.
• Peanut Butter & Jelly
• Dry Beans
• Canned Fruit
• Canned Meats
• Soups, Chili, etc.
• Bagged or Boxed Rice & Quinoa
• Cereal
• Oatmeal
• Coffee, Tea, etc.
• Shelf Stable Milk (evaporated, condensed, dry, soy, etc.)
